We are a Northern California, family-oriented group of re-enactors. We are a Late Renaissance Scottish Guild, a few of us are Highlanders that have fled the mainland. We portray a noble house that inhabits my ancestral home on the Isle Mull. We represent the seaport, and have folk from town and merchants and household folk. My Sweetheart is a Sea Captain, merchant, whose small fleet is always ready to serve King and Country. Mull is mountainous, (which suits our Highland sensibility) and has a sea port (which suits our need for the sea.) Occasionally, only occasionally mind you, we may be mistaken for Maritime Acquisition Re-distributors ~ AKA Privateers.

WHAT WE DO AT FAIR

Legend has it that a Spanish Galleon, laden either with Gold or troops sank and lies in the mud at the bottom of Tobermory bay - although the ship’s identity and true cargo are in dispute. By some accounts the San Francisco,a member of the defeated Spanish Armada, fleeing the English fleet in 1588, anchored in what is now,Tobermory Bay, to take on provisions. Following a dispute over payment, or possibly, (according to local folklore, a spell cast by the witch Doideag,) the ship caught fire and her powder magazine exploded, sinking the vessel. In her hold was reportedly 300,00L in gold bullion. Other sources say it was the San Juan de Sicilia or the San Juan de Batista, which records indicate carried troops, and not treasure. We won’t tell; however my family has prospered well since that day. ~ We ALSO participate in some pirate events.
